Το Δίκτυο Ναυαρίνο υποδέχτηκε τον ιστορικό και πολιτικό αναλυτή, Stan Draenos, για μια συζήτηση με θέμα “Andreas Papandreou: The Politics of a Maverick”. O Stan Draenos ήταν αναλυτικός και αποκαλυπτικός για τη ζωή και το έργο του Έλληνα πολιτικού, ενώ το κοινό ακολούθησε τον ομιλητή σε μια ζωηρή συζήτηση.
Τη συζήτηση συντόνισε ο Δημήτρης Καιρίδης, Αναπληρωτής Καθηγητής Διεθνών Σχέσεων στο Πάντειο Πανεπιστήμιο και Διευθυντής του Δικτύου Ναυαρίνο.
Stan Draenos is a historian and a political analyst based in Athens, Greece. He received his PhD at York University in Toronto, after studies at the University of California at Berkeley and the University of Chicago. He has been a Contributing Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center, Research Fellow at the Princeton University Hellenic Studies Program, and resident historian at the Andreas G. Papandreou Foundation. He has served as press secretary for the Majority Leader of the California state Senate, a corporate speech writer, analyst for RCM Capital Management, report writer for Ernst & Young global marketing, and feature writer for Upside Magazine. He has published widely on Greek politics and US foreign policy, as well as on the thought of Hannah Arendt and Sigmund Freud. He is the author of the book “Andreas Papandreou: The Making of a Greek Democrat and Political Maverick” published by I.B. Tauris in 2012.
