The 2020 Rotary Peace Fellowship application has been launched, including two exciting opportunities:
- Promote the program within your networks:
As leaders in peace and development, and as alumni of the program, you are the most qualified to promote the fellowship and share your experience with your community. Here’s how you can help:
Circulate a call for applications announcement to peacebuilders or peacebuilding organizations in your community.
Know someone who could benefit from our program? Submit their name and email in our referral form and we’ll follow up with them.
Present on the Rotary Peace Fellowship at an organization you are connected with. A PowerPoint presentation is available online.
- Volunteer to interview future candidates:
Help us make the fellowship more accessible to all candidates, by volunteering to interview candidates who are unable to connect with a district for endorsement. There are instances where qualified candidates encounter barriers preventing them from receiving district endorsement, and that is where you can help! As an alternative pathway to endorsement, alumni volunteers will conduct an in-person or virtual interview and submit an endorsement decision on behalf of each candidate they consider. This is a great opportunity to mentor and empower future leaders in the field of peace and development. Please complete this form if you are interested in getting involved with the endorsement process.
Each year, Rotary funds some of the world’s most dedicated and brightest leaders to study at Rotary Peace Centers. Through training, study, and practice, Rotary Peace Fellows become catalysts for peace and development. Many go on to careers with governments, NGOs, the military, law enforcement, and international organizations like the United Nations and the World Bank.
