Greek-Turkish Young Leaders Symposium on Security
Thessaloniki, 12-16 December 2017
The Center for International and European Studies (CIES) and the Navarino Network organized the 3rd Greek-Turkish Young Leaders Symposium (GTYLS) on Security. The Greek-Turkish Young Leaders Symposium (GTYLS) on Security included the participation of 14 Greek and 14 Turkish International Relations specialists (MA students, PhD candidates, young PhD scholars, and professionals), aged 22-35 years old, and Greek and Turkish experts that acted as speakers and trainers. The GTYLS took place on 12-16 December 2017 in Thessaloniki and was supported by the NATO Public Diplomacy Division and the Friedrich Naumann Stiftung.

In the framework of the Symposium, an open discussion on “The Future of Greek-Turkish Relations in the NATO Context” was held the premises of the Navarino Network. Speakers included:
- Mustafa Aydin, Rector, Kadir Has University
- Serhat Guvenc, Associate Professor, Kadir Has University
- Dimitris Keridis, Professor, Panteion University
The session was moderated by Despina-Ino Afentouli, Program Officer for Greece at the Public Diplomacy Division of NATO.
