- Navarino Network
The Navarino Network welcomed Nenad Sebek, Executive Director for the Center for Democracy and Reconciliation in Southeast Europe (CDRSEE) for a discussion entitled “From the Balkans to Southeastern Europe and back?”.
Prior to the discussion, there was a screening of the ESI documentary “Twilight of heroes” . It is a film about a country coming to terms with its recent past after a squalid war; about the power and influence of international war crimes courts; and about a society looking for its place in a new Europe.
Nenad Sebek (UK), Executive Director for the Center for Democracy and Reconciliation in Southeast Europe, has worked as a journalist for twenty-six years. Before joining the CDRSEE early 2002, he spent two years as Moscow Correspondent for “The World” (a co-production of the BBC World Service, Public Radio International and WGBH in Boston). He covered the Balkans through the tumultuous nineteen nineties, working first for the BBC and then “The World”. He started his journalistic career in Radio Belgrade and joined the BBC World Service in 1986.
